so let me get this straight: a perfect being that is complete of his own volition wanted or needed to create beings that lie, steal, cheat and generally are quite nasty, just because he wanted or needed us prove to him that we believe? I thought he was perfect? Why would a perfect being need anyone or anything to validate his existence, and why would he deny us any real scientific proof of his existence? To torture us with a head game and a test? Sounds like a loving perfect being to me.

God didn't need to make us.He chose to make us,to know Him because there's nothing better than God(by definition of character).ur right that ppl are quite nasty,but rather than God throw our planet into the sun to burn,He sent Jesus to be punished in our place,so that we can be free.If you want to genuinely dialogue,please email and I'll chat to ya.i'm not here to argue,just discuss :)

God gave us plenty of proof. The fossil records prove that all the animals came into existence in a instant. Is it just me or does that sound alot like creation? The proof that God exists is everywhere. Look at the human brain for instance. Look how complicated that is. If God isn't real then tell me how the brain was made? Look at the earth. If it was any closer to the sun we wouldn't be able to survive. If it was farther away we wouldn't be able to survive.

Look up at the stars at night and tell me how they could have come into existance without God. God gave us plenty of proof of His existance, people just refuse to beleive that God is real.

This isn't new ground. Sure the human mind is very complicated, so I can understand the need to explain its existence with the concept of a creator. The only problem with that contention is that you cannot explain how the existence of an infinitely more complex being (what you call god) can exist without a creator. It is mathematically far far FAR less probable for such a being to exist with no origin than it is that we evolved.

You should rent the dvd "Case for the Creator". It is done by a former atheist. It is an hour long dvd about the universe. I just saw it last night, and I learned alot from it. Our universe is just SO AMAZING!

The problem with this observation is that your applying our human conception of time,towards someone who we believe to be beyond time."With the Lord a day is like a thousand years"2Peter3:8-10.Humankind has come pretty far in the scientific discipline but it is still limited to what is testable and observable.That means things that are not testable can never be known.Plus God is eternal.Asking about his origin is like asking where's the beginning of the circle?

isn't it really funny when men screw things up and say "why did God let this happen?" He created human beings so they could exercise their free will fully, and it's people, not something else, who get tempted, sin, and turn to God and say that. i suggest you read "problem of pain" written by C.S.Lewis. if you can't stand such philosophical discussions, it only proves you're another hypocrite trying to find someone to blame for your miseries. if not, you'll learn something.

oh.. and you guess we evolved with no origin? the ground you stand from applies to evolution theory, though it's hardly a "scientific" theory in atheists' sense anyway. where did it all start from? the world is confined in time and space. take away time and space and a being that existed always does make sense because He is not confined in "this world."

The thing thats hard for our physical minds to understand is that God is Spirit. He is the Alpha and Omega. He was NEVER created, he IS creation. He always was. He created everything we see, yet desires a relationship with us. No fool can look at the earth, all organisms within it, the divine complex order of our universe, the incredibly tight balance it runs on, or the human body and all its complexity, and say it all happened by accident. Everything we see is divinely purposed by God
