This kind of sums up British summers,tinged with sadness...the expectation is too great after long,cold,miserable winters we long for warm,long sunny days that rarely happen, and we also expect to fall in love - that never happens either.
By the way, was that old footage of Richey running away from his dog?.Who is the same age as the Manics? there must be millions,last of the great baby boomers...

I first heard the Manics as the trio, and was greatly disturbed that the American media failed to recognize them or even play a shred of their music. I first heard them in 2001. They are brilliant as a three piece and were amazing as a four piece. How is it that some of you are so angry that they continued on after Richy "left"? I admire the fact that they persevered and never sought out another replacement guitatist.

Er Rollo, the replacement guitarist has been with them for a year and a bit now (live only though, and I know what you mean). Still an awesome band IMO.
