I believe body type contributes to a large extent in how people judge and percieve and treat each other and contribute to the individual's self concept and identity I think it happens on a sub-conscious level..although I disagree with pathologizing body type..or associating it..I myself have a outside the norm body type and I experience confusion and predjudice and confusion and stereotypes and false notions and assumptions and less respect and physical freedom within social context.

I absolutely disagree with phrenology or using body types as an example of abnormality...I think the norm sees people outside the box as abnormal (in body type terms) and makes asumptions and then plays into them thus bringing the assumptions to life by enacting the presumptions based on the superficial..and i agree that is wrong and false

The truth IS , Psychiatrist's are after absolute power. From the person to the masses.
How can a society give any kind of power to a so call medical field that VOTES on all mental disorder's. That is not medicine, it's mind control.
A society that gives absolute to it's doctor's is being led by it's doctor's.

we need to be aware that some psychologists abuse their clients. dr john gournaris of minnesota is one example. stay away from him. he is also on national deaf academy's advisory board. we have heard a lot of bad news about him. the community remains blind to his behaviors. we need to be more aware of mental health and providers.

Please go to Yahoo and type in the phrase "Horrible Truth About Psychiatric Drugs" into their search to find a report that reveals the truth about theee drugs that no psychiatrist will tell you. Also do the search with the phrase "Documented Proof Psychiatric Drugs Shorten Lifespan". Be sure to include the quotes to narrow the search so you find the intended research paper on these drugs/ The drugs promote suicide and violence not prevent, cause impotence, no libido and make you fat disphoric.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll go to the links and see if there is a suggested reading list. This is a gross generalization, but we see with the APA's recent decision as to torture that they are a social/political body. Well, I see now but only guessed at their unscientific approach. I've become interested in Evolutionary Psychology and their study is backed by whatever empirical evidence is available, I believe... Anyway I'm subscribing keep telling the truth!!!

I have to believe that the increase in mental illnesses is linked to what we all eat, drink, breathe..everything about our lives affects who we are and our bodies..it is almost inevitable especially with the stresses of this world to go crazy!! I cannot stress enough how we all have to take our vitamins!! Yes, mom was right and so was grandma.. (i took stuff I shudder to think about..recently Omega 3 from Neurovi). These are vital for mental health!!

The hormones aren't imbalanced, they are doing exactly what they should be doing to prepare the woman's body for menstruation. You are basically asserting that women have an illness, disorder or disease because a natural biological function is uncomfortable or causes little bit of social tension. Think about it.

In a modern world where medicine and science have become so advanced I dont understand how this fraud has gone unexamined. People really need to look at it. It's causing a lot of damage in our society. Now as I see them drugging all the children I am getting very worried for our future.
