Why doesn't VH1Classic show stuff like this instead of constant several-hour-long blocks of old 80's videos (the same ones VH1Classic has been showing for the past 8 years) or instead of crappy movies that have been shown for the past 10-20 years on TBS?

I think the music industry doesn't consider music classic unless it's at least 20 years old now. And the oldie stations usually wait 30 years.

I thought the farther the 90's moved from the 80's, the more dead and less creative the musuc became. I'm a bit older than most of you, and I feel the 80's experienced a much greater variety and creativity than the 90's. By 1997, I felt the 90's were close to dead musically to me. A few bands and artists like Dave Matthews kept the 90's going. For me, about 1982 to about 1995 was the best for music.
