Dexluther, the brain can adapt and respond to whatever environtment you put it into. legs might as well be wings. it's a process of arrangement and neuroplasticity, sort of like a newborn, burning away connections over a year's time. Feeding the cells nutrients would take some doing for a robot, in the end, we are the most adapted to 'dominance'. It would appear that Kevin Warwick has lost sight of what accomplishment is. If we could keep neurons alive in some kind of bath so it wouldn't need blood circulation from a body, we could house someone in a tank, connect them to a computer and simulate every kind of hell imaginable, and they'd be completely helpless to do anything about it. finally ill tell ya someting that any half brained fuck knows, vitamins and oxygen dont magically disappear once the brain (or any other organ) processes it, theyr transformed into CO2 and other substances that r disposed by the lungs, the bladder and the intestine
in other words in order to make a cyborg you have to make a machine that can breath, shit and pee btw the blood red cells r the ones that transport the oxygen, without a machine that can produce blood the brain is going to die

An artififical kidney IS possible. It's called Dialysis. I've been over that. A machine does the job the person's kidneys can't do thus the machine is an artificial kidney. It's funny you mention livers and not living a month. My grandfather would prove you wrong (once again) on that one. He survived 10 months on meds and various machines without a liver before he could get a transplant.

The need to shit can be canceled out by only giving the body as much as it needs. There's no excess, thus no waste. At least not waste like you're thinking. A car is a machine too. Discovery Channel and other science shows tend to be creditable as they base their stories on research and facts. When their stories are based on nothing but theory, they make it clear that's the case. When Discovery and many other creditable sources (including Wired (right here on youtube)) report on this very same story, it's safe to assume that "Joe Nobody Joseaca" needs to use his supposedly Superior IQ to do more research.

You said survive. That has absolutely nothing to do with leaving the hospital or not. As long as he's still alive, you've been proven wrong. And yes he did leave the hospital a couple times with special permission granted to him because my aunt is a nurse, so they knew she'd be able to take care of time while he was out.
