vivian kubrick stanley daughter made this film for the BBC show ARENA and it was shown around the time of the films release. Was so pleased to see it added as an extra to the Shining dvd. Have seen footage by vivian on the set of Full Metal Jacket hopefully that could be edited into a similar documentary as a dvd extra.

A documentary maker (name escapes me) had exclusive access to stanleys archives at the family home in england and over 3-4yrs made a documentary about stanleys 1000's of boxes he'd gathered, filled with research for each film. And in part of that documentary they showed some of vivians full metal jacket footage that was in one box, looked good. The boxes documentary was shown on channel4 in uk as part of a kubrick season earlier this year.

Wow. Cool to see the hotel interior set. For a long time, I thought that had been shot in a location, but then learned that the Overlook Hotel interiors had all been built on huge soundstages. Thanks for the post!!!
