KRISHNARAJ IYENGAR-Tabla-2
Uploaded by: carlosmangela
Video Description:
Here is Krishanraj again, this time on his favorite G sharp-A sharp ( Kali 4-Kali5) pitched Tabla.
He plays a traditional 'Rela' from the Purab school which signifies the gradual cascading and meandering of a stream or a river. The syllables "dheredhere" played with the palm are the beauty of this composition. This has been the forte of many great legends . He later recites and plays two '
Tukdas' or 'pieces', both synonymous with the great Ustad Ahmadjaan Thirakwa, whose own composition Krishnaraj plays to conclude the recital.
